We all know what a legendary Pokémon is. However, did you realize by definition of the legendary Pokémon that there are more Pokémon to fall under the category that aren’t being labeled? Well we realized this and decided to write an informative article for you, the reader, to list legendary Pokémon who aren’t considered legendary.
While Arcanine is considered legendary by the Pokédex descriptions in many of the Pokémon games, we aren’t looking at the Pokédex for our list of legendries. Instead, we will be looking at the in-game stats of the pseudo legendary Pokémon. Many hardcore Pokémon trainers rely on stats and EV grinding to build the perfect team, so this article is for them more or less.
Pseudo Legendary Pokémon normally have a base stat total of 600 that aren’t already considered legendary.
Dragonite
This is a generation 1 Pokémon that has been a staple in almost every Pokémon team since people found out how to obtain a Dratini in the safari zone.
Tyranitar
This post game Pokémon from gen 2 was only obtainable after accessing MT Silver. He is still a feared brawler in the mainstream Pokémon battles.
Garchomp
This is yet another dragon to be added to the pseudo legendary list. This one first appeared in gen 4 and is still a fan favorite in the Pokémon battles.
Salamence
Oh look, another dragon! This pseudo legendary appeared in gen 3, it was honestly the first dragon type to take the crown away from Dragonite.
Metagross
This steel/psychic beast of pure power appeared in gen 3. It is a very popular Pokémon that was once the focus point of many parties.
Goodra
I bet you thought we were done mentioning dragons. Goodra, though not very popular, is a gen 6 Pokémon that many feels, makes little since on the type.
Hydreigon
We’re beginning to think that if you are a dragon you are automatically a pseudo legendary. This gen 5 dragon is one of the hardest to actually raise to full form. Many dismiss it because of the late 3rd evolution into its final stage.
These are only a few of the pseudo legendary Pokémon that are in existence of the 700+ known Pokémon in the games.
Which one would you pick for your team? What is your favorite pseudo legendary Pokémon? Let us know.
