Legendary Pokémon are among the rarest creatures in the Pokémon universe. Hard to find, and even harder to catch. Each Pokémon game has a few of them hiding somewhere, waiting for keen-eyed players to catch.
Below, we have compiled a list of sixth generation legendary Pokémon introduced in the Pokémon game series. These Pokémon appeared in the Kalos Region.
Xerneas
It is rumoured that Xerneas lay dormant in the form of a tree for close to ten centuries before waking and taking its current shape. It is believed that when its horns glow in seven colours, it shares everlasting life.
Yveltal
Yveltal possess the ability to absorb life energy from all living creatures when it spreads its wings and tail feathers. Its wings and feather shine bright red when it is absorbing life force from its surroundings. At the end of its life, Yveltal absorbs the life force one last time and uses it to become a cocoon once again.
Zygarde
It is believed that Zygarde lies dormant and watches over the region of Kalos from deep within its cave, waking and emerging only when the region’s ecosystem is under threat and falling into disharmony.
Diancie
A mythical Pokémon, Diancie is essentially a genetically mutated Carbink. It doesn’t evolve into other Pokémon, instead goes through a Mega Evolution to become Mega Diancie. Diancie possess the ability to compress and process the carbon content in the atmosphere and transform it into diamonds.
Hoopa
Hoopa is known to possess a greedy nature and, in its truest form, immense amount of power. The Pokémon is so extremely greedy and powerful that it is said to have carried off a whole castle just to gain access to the treasures it held.
Volcanion
Volcanion is a fire and water type Pokémon that dwells in the volcanic mountains where humans dare not tread. It has the ability to turn the water vapour around it to steam which it expels in great gusts from its body, vanishing in the dense fog if need be.
