Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu And Eevee Review

Over the years, there have been a great number of Pokemon games. With the release date of generation 8 on the table, it is easy to forget the gold that the Pokemon Company gave us with Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. If you haven’t played it yet, we seriously suggest you try it.

One thing that fans screamed for during the switch to the Nintendo Switch is a remake of red and blue with newer technology and interaction. Those screams did not go unheard by the creators of the legacy we have grown up playing. Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee take place in the Kanto region just like the first games.

Your Starer Pokemon in Let’s Go Games

Both games offer you a Pokemon partner from the start (Either Eevee or Pikachu depending on the version). From there your true adventure begins. The battles are turn based as before.

However the art of catching Pokemon has become interactive and different from traditional methods. It now resembles the catching system that Pokemon Go! presented to players.

Updated Features

There are more features introduced in Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. For example, providing special moves to your Pokemon partner that they wouldn’t normally learn.

Speaking of moves, it looks like they did bring back the HM system in a different context. Secret moves are able to be learned to cut trees and surf the seas.

Bonding

An advance feature from what we saw in Sun and Moon is the ability to interact with your Pokemon partner. You are able to play, feed, and even tickle your partner to strengthen the bond between the two of you.

This is something that should be taken advantage of, good things may come of it. Something else it seems they have taken away from previous games is traveling via Pokemon.

Customization

For those that love the cute aspects of Pokemon, you will be happy to know you can now dress up your partner to look as cute or as fierce as possible. You can even go as far as styling your partner’s hair.

Sometimes you have to take a break from catching them all to making them feel special. That is one of the things we loved about Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. The interaction makes you feel a little more like a real trainer than previous games.

Final Thoughts

Also, it should be noted that you are able to link your Let’s Go Pokemon game with your Pokemon Go! account.
