Pokémon has become a pop culture icon, not just in Asia, but the entire world. The role-playing game of the same name, originally released on the Nintendo platform, has also received high acclaim with six series already under its belt, and the 7th generation of games all ready to be kick-started by the first two installments, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Fans of the series are eagerly anticipating the release of the new installments; a wait that has been intensified by the announcement of the Z-Ring, a piece of equipment that will allow players to experience the 4D characteristic of the new game in its entirety.
Digital Trends reports that along with its companion accessories, the Z-Crystals, the Z-Ring will offer coordinated vibrations, with light and sound effects enabling players to emerge themselves in the world of the game and realistically experience battles and their Pokémon’s attacks as they take place in the game.
IBT reports that the Pokémon Company claims the Z-Ring comes with a set of other hidden features as well. The Z-Ring is a wrist accessory that the player will wear on their hand while playing the game, with one of the Z-Crystals set into it. TOMY International has introduced the Pokémon Z-Ring & Z-Crystal Special Set that contains the wrist accessory and a set of 6 crystals, each offering unique color lighting. The Pokémon Company is yet to release an official statement to their international following, however, regarding the release and availability of the Z-Ring set.
The Pokémon Z-Ring Set is expected to release in November this year, with most major online retailers like GameStop and Amazon already taking pre-orders. However, the set that is available to pre-order only contains 3 Z-Crystals.
The Z-Ring and Z-Crystals promise an immersive gameplay experience, engaging a number of the player’s senses and integrating gameplay into the real world. We can’t wait to get our hands on one!
